She shivered against her Dolce and Gabanna cashmere jacket but nothing she did seemed to warm her up. The cold cut through her entire body and straight into her very soul. But it wasn&rsquo;t the bitter wind that seemed to freeze her from the inside out. It was the pure despair and sadness that filled her that made her shake uncontrollably. <br /><br />She stopped for a second still in a way hoping for a glimpse of him, a moment just to see his face. It was strange how fast Chuck Bass had stolen her heart. She never in a million years would have seen that coming. She fought so hard to fight the temptation and his advances. She tried to deny her feelings but somehow knew in an instant that it was too late, that she had fallen for the Upper East Side playboy. Her mind tried to reason with her heart&hellip;he would only cause her torment and pain. He could never know the meaning of true love&hellip;he would never be able to give himself to her, not in the way she deserved. But in so many ways they were the perfect match, rivals and equals both a force to be reckoned with when they set their minds to something. What started off as a game to both of them seemed to change quickly into pure need and now for her deep, undeniable love. <br /><br />She thought he felt it too&hellip;that somewhere in his cold heart he had found a place for her to reside and keep him warm. But since his father&rsquo;s death it was as if he had given up, as if he was afraid to let her in. She could only watch helplessly as he self destructed and pushed everyone away. All she wanted to do was pull him close to her and tell him that everything would be alright and that she was there. But even those words fell on deaf ears. She needed so badly for him to know that she didn&rsquo;t care how much he pushed her away or how much he lashed out at her. She was there for the long haul. She wouldn&rsquo;t leave him too. But Chuck Bass was used to people leaving him and his anger only grew and his downward spiral only got worse as the days passed by. <br /><br />She felt a tear slide down her cheek as she closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths. She had been with Serena most of the evening, crying her eyes out over someone she tried to tell herself didn&rsquo;t deserve her tears. But no matter how much she argued with herself her heart wouldn&rsquo;t&hellip;couldn&rsquo;t let go of it&rsquo;s desire. She realized over the past weeks just how much she needed him. Her body ached for his touch and she craved him just as badly as her lungs craved the air she needed to breathe. Chuck Bass was embedded in her very soul and she knew that no matter how much she fought or how much she tried to fool herself into believing she&rsquo;d be fine and get over him she also knew that for the rest of her life Chuck Bass would live in her heart. <br /><br />She swallowed back her frustration before shifting on her heals and a sight caught her breath. A black limo pulled up in front her at that moment and she knew in an instant who was behind the dark glass. She paused as she waited but there was no movement. She could feel him watching her even if she couldn&rsquo;t see her face and when the door didn&rsquo;t open for her she felt another stab in her heart. Then like the single tear that had fallen, a raindrop fell unto her cheek. The rain began to drizzle down to match the falling tears from her eyes. Her bottom lip quivered. <br /><br />Chuck Bass sat motionless in the limo. His head fell back against the seat as he watched her face crumble. He had left the club just minutes ago after yet another night of drowning his sorrows in expensive liquor and cheap whores. He didn&rsquo;t deserve anything but pain. He was a mistake&hellip;a nothing. He was alone and no one should be subjected to him or the disaster that his life had become. He couldn&rsquo;t love anyone, especially the glorious creature that was now standing outside his limo. His mind screamed for him to just let her in&hellip;feed the need in his heart. He loved her. He knew that with everything that he was but just as his dead father had pointed out&hellip;he didn&rsquo;t finish anything he started. He would only hurt her more if he loved her. He didn&rsquo;t deserve someone like Blair Waldorf. <br /><br />He held his breath as she turned from him quickly heading in the direction of her parked limo. The rain was pouring down now and he felt the wetness on his cheek as he shed a single tear for the emptiness in his heart where Blair Waldorf should be. He opened the door and stepped out into the downpour allowing the cold water to drench him in hopes to feel something but all he felt was numb. He turned to watch her open the door to the limo and froze as she paused to look in his direction. Her eyes locked with him and he felt his breath catch. She was still as beautiful as an angel. Her mascara was now running down her face from the falling tears and she was soaked from the rain. He fought the urge to run to her and pull her into his arms. If he was a man who believed in fate and God he might have prayed for her but he didn&rsquo;t believe in God&hellip;.not anymore. If there was a God then he&rsquo;d have not left him alone and without a family to love him. She seemed to wait for him to react to her, but Chuck kept his face as neutral as he could. He couldn&rsquo;t give her any hope, no matter how badly he wanted to. <br /><br />&ldquo;I hate you Chuck Bass.&rdquo; She spat out through her pain, yet she knew it was a lie. She could never hate him. But she couldn&rsquo;t make him love her even if she wanted that more than anything in her life. <br /><br />Her words stung like a million daggers in his heart but he would be strong&hellip;he would save her from him, even if it ripped him into he&rsquo;d protect her from his destructive behavior. She would be better off to forget he ever existed. Her face changed to anger as she rolled her eyes before climbing into her limo and the door shut with a bang on any hope of being with her. <br /><br />He stuffed his hands in his pockets as he
